Do I need a Google Maps API key?
Yes. You need your own Google Maps API key and a Google Cloud project with billing and the required Maps APIs enabled. Google API usage is separate from the workbook price. Google offers free monthly usage allowances for eligible services, but these vary by API and pricing category; there is no universal 40,000-calculation allowance. Usage beyond applicable allowances can incur charges. Check Google Maps Platform pricing before use, and configure usage quotas and billing alerts. Follow Google’s API key security guidance to restrict and protect your key.
Does this work on Mac, or just PC?
Yes. Choose PC or Mac at checkout. Same $97 single / $187 multi, one-time.
Can I use addresses from outside the US?
Yes. The calculator works with any address that Google Maps can resolve, including international locations. We also offer a dedicated EU Distances calculator for European addresses.
Is this a one-time fee, or ongoing?
One-time payment. It includes upgrades and live support via Zoom for one year, but the software is built to serve your needs for years to come.
What if I get stuck setting it up?
